Steve Case (b. 1958) is an American entrepreneur who is known as the CEO of America Online (AOL), which is a web portal and online service that once had over 30 million subscribers. AOL was once the world’s largest and most valuable Internet company. It was the first Internet company to go public too.  For these reasons, he is considered to be a pioneer in making the Internet part of everyday life.

Steve also founded the Rise of the Rest organization, which consists on helping new entrepreneurs start their businesses. There is a bus tour that goes around the US showing who they are and what they do, looking for people with ideas they can invest in. Also, there is an online tour where everyone can see all the businesses that have been supported by Rise of the Rest. This project is found within an investment firm called Revolution.
